NaNoWriMo

Okay, before you laugh at the title, let me explain what it is. November is Natioal Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo! I have pledged my November to writing a 50,000 word novel!!! I'm really excited! A couple of my friends from Hybrid are doing it too. Basically, you sign up, start a novel on November 1st, and finish it by midnight on November 30th. So I'll let you know my progress as I go along. Steve Jobs Update

The rumor was confirmed this morning, Steve Jobs died on Wednesday. I knew he had been battling cancer, but I thought he would get better after he retired from CEO-age... is that a word? CEO-age? Well, it is now! XD So anyway, he was only 56, which is pretty young when you think about it. And even though there were rumors that he was a jerk, I'm still kind of upset by this whole thing. I mean, he was a pretty cool inventor! Anyway, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Steve Jobs

Woah. When I heard this I just about fell over. There's a rumor going around that Steve Jobs died on Wednesday. I think it was confirmed by Apple and USA Today, but I'm not totally sure. I'm still calling it a rumor... I'll try to get more deets ASAP. Ping me if you get any info. Here's hoping for the best! :)

September 11, 2001

Ten years ago, we lost the World Trade Center, a major part of our country. We also lost a huge amount of innocent people. I was only three years old, and my mom was pregnant with Nick. When I watch the footage now, it seems like a movie, like it didn't really happen. My heart goes out to the families of those lost ten years ago today. I know that this is really cheesy, but there's a song that comes to mind: Have You Forgotten by Darryl Worley. If you haven't already heard it, you need to listen to it. This song is very touching. Lots of News

Ok, to start, I forgot to tell you about a recent life-changing event. I got an iTouch!!!!!! So the past few posts have been from a mobile device!!! Also, extremely recently, I decided to go to the STEM Hybrid thing instead of the full-time school. So instead of being homeschooled or going to public school, I am now a part-time student! Anyway, those are the only things life related that I really needed to tell you. Now for the blog related stuff. Okay, first thing is that I'm thinking about starting a new segment like Artist of Week, except it's Actor(Actress) of the Week. The other thing I'm thinking about is starting a Sim blog. I have a picture perfect family so far, so I don't think it would be very entertaining. I don't like making sims that are insane because they annoy me and sims around them. And I don't think I'm a good enough comedic writer. But it'd be exactly like this one, no one would read it XD anyway, I think that's everything. Just gimme your input on those blog ideas. Thanks!

New School!!!!

Ok, so I haven't been exactly an active blogger, and I apologize for that. But I started school on the 15th. It's been a bit of a tough transition from relaxed homeschooling to intense charter school, but I've survived the first week!!! I wanna start homeschooling again, but my mom wants me to continue with STEM. This next week will be quite interesting. Right now I'm watching America's Got Talent and it was insane!!!!!!!!! Team iLuminate I think was the best. Avery and the Calico Hearts didn't pick a very good song, butIstill love them XD. Arapahoe County Fair

A few days ago we went to the Arapahoe County Fair. I won the tickets in a coloring contest which was really awesome! The animals were really cool. The baby bunnies and chicks were super cute!!! We watched Mutton Bustin' and some of the kids were 3 years old! They fell off almost instantly XD   I think my favorite part was the fireworks at 9. And I won a gigantic blow-up bat that's taller than me!!!

Penguins and Webkinz and Sims, Oh My!!!

For my birthday my mom, my brother, and I went to see Mr. Popper's Penguins. It was hysterical!!! And then we went to my papa's house for presents and dinner. I got a Sims 3 computer game and a Webkinz dragon! It was a fantastic 13th birthday!

America's Got Talent

There is so much talent on the show this season!!! I think my top three faves are Avery and the Calico Hearts, Anna Graceman, and Echo of Animal Gardens. My B-day!

I'll be 13 in two days!!!! AAAAAAH!!! I'll be an official teenager!!! That kinda scares me XD Anyway, for my birthday we'll probably open presents early in the morning, go swimming a little later, then go see that new movie Monte Carlo with Selena Gomez in it, and then go have Chinese food and key lime pie at Papa's for dinner. Starting with Britt Nicole. Brittany Nicole Waddell is 25 years old. She's from Kannapolis, North Carolina. Her parents divorced when she was only seven years old. One time when she was driving she heard God talking to her. He said that she had given Him only part of her heart and she needed to surrender her entire heart to Him. So she tried to (don't try this at home, kids) raise up her hands and drive at the same time And she told God that she gave him her life and that she would do his whatever His will was. I have discovered a new disease!!! It's called Stuck-In-Your-Head Syndrome! This is when a song gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out. Not even by listening to another song. I've contracted this disease at least twice. The two songs that have given me Stuck-In-Your-Head Syndrome are Love You Like A Love Song by Selena Gomez and With You by Chris Brown. (Understand that I am no fan of Chris Brown, but Justin Bieber sang With You once.) Anyway, if there are any other songs out there that will give you this disease, let me know. Poor Nicky

Nick has been having trouble falling asleep. He's been having a few crazy dreams and when he wakes up from them, he thinks there's a monster by the door. One off his dreams was, "I was fighting King Kong and I took a glass of water and dumped it right on King Kong's head! Then I woke up. I looked down, and saw a DONKEY!!!(or something that looked like a donkey XD) Then I looked at the door and saw a BIG MONSTER RABBIT!!! Then I got up and went down stairs." (So cute!) And last night, he woke up at 1 a.m. and told my mom that there was a monster at the door. So when my mom offered to let him sleep in her room, he said, "I would love you forever." So he went into Mom's room. He didn't get back to sleep, though. So he's dead tired today :(   But I thought the dream thing was cute.

Sad :(

Everyone at my Papa's house is in a major funk. My cousins just went home. They're always so crazy, they add a lot of excitement to life. You saw that in the, "My Pants Are On Fire" post. And to top it all off, Papa broke his heel a little less than a week ago! He fell off a ladder. He's doing better, but my aunt was a lot of help with that. But other than that, life has been pretty dull. So let's hope some excitement will pop up. Thanks for reading.

Selena is out of the hospital! YAY!! Turns out that she was just malnourished. She was dehydrated and low on iron. But she just performed in Santa Monica, Cali. She looks a lot better. Ok, I just stumbled upon this little tidbit. Lead singer Gary LeVox' actual last name is Vernon. LeVox literally means 'The Voice'. That's the kind of thing that I'd do if I was famous. Another fun fact is that Gary and Joe Don Rooney are second cousins. And that is pretty much all my knowledge on them XD Anyway, just thought I'd share those things with you.

Just Wondering

EEEEEEEEEEEPS!!!!!!!!!! I just watched Never Say Never!!!! Nick is so awesome! He rented it for me from Redbox!!! I only wish I saw it in 3D. But it was WICKED AWESOME!!!!!!!! School Play

EEEEEEEP!!! I just played piano for the school play as part of homeschool enrichment! It was sooooooo much fun!!! I hung out in the green room with the cast inbetween shows.(the green room is the room where they do make-up and costumes.) I kinda want to join a theater group. I don't want to act, I just want to stage work, media, that sort of thing. The songs I played were The Entertainer, Yo-Ho(Pirates of the Carribean), and an Egyptian song. The play was really cute. Well that's all I have to say about that!

He killed so many people and he finally gets a taste of his own medicine! And then they dumped him in the ocean! GO MILITARY!!!!! You terminated a very influential leader of the enemies!!! WAHOO!!! This wekk's artist is.....Carrie Underwood! The 28 year old won American Idol in 2005. She is in my opinion the BEST female country artist ON THE PLANET!!!!!! School

Today I went to homeschool enrichment. It was fun!!! we started doing Snap-Citcuits again in robotics and we did extreme frisbee ball in gym. So today was pretty good! Now I'm just tired! These days alway tire me out. And it didn't help that I stayed up late last night, but I finshed my book!! I'm reading the Fablehaven series and I finished the third book last night. It was really good! Anyway, thats all I have to say.

Living History Day

Today Nick, my mom and I went to a living history day as a part of homeschool. It was so cool!!! They did a revolutionary war reenactment, there were musicians and animals and games and plays. I even got a hat! I think I look weird in it, but I guess it's ok. The only downside to this adventure is that I have to get my science done by tonight. So I'm not really looking forward to that. But its worth it! And it was amazing. Nick actually liked the animals!!! He was born terrified of anything with fur and four legs. Just a few years ago he wouldn't even touch our pet guinea pig!!! But he was enamored with the calves. So thats about all the excitement for today!

Quirkiness

Ok this is really random but I just thought of it. Nick likes to smell my mom's and my hair. No one knows why, he just does. If anyone can unravel this mystery it would be greatly appreciated.

The Infamous Justin Bieber Barbie Doll

OMG! My Papa just got back from Tennessee and my cousins sent a joke from last Christmas back with him. So last Christmas I gave my cousins a Justin Bieber Barbie doll because they passionately HATE Justin Bieber. So they sent the doll back with Papa. I was like, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe they did that!!" I'm certainly not complaining, but the doll looks nothing like the real thing!!! The shoulders are to broad and its from BEFORE he got the awesome new haircut! But I guess it's better than getting it back with out the head.(they took it off earlier this year) I'm not going to reveal any further plans until I execute them cuz my cousins read this. I'll keep you updated on this little back-and-forth.

My Mp3's

Yay! I just did a total mokeover on my Mp3 player. For Easter I got a Taylor Swift CD so I downloaded that. I also downloaded a MercyMe CD that I got for Christmas. I just hadn't gotten around to downloading it when I got it(Christmas was hectic!). The artists on my Mp3 player are Carrie Underwood, Britt Nicole, MercyMe, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Aly & AJ(only one song of theirs). So those(minus Aly & AJ) are the artists I'll be talking about. I'll also put some links to my favorite YouTube vids on the articles. Sunday gets closer everyday so don't touch your mouse....

I Hate Math!!!

No offense to all you math-lovers out there but I officially DESPISE MATH!!!! I'm doing pre-algebra and it's killer!!! As my brother would say CURSE YOU ALGEBRAIC TERMS!!! Sorry. I needed to vent.

Xbox Madness

Right now my brother is glued to the TV playing a Star Wars game on Xbox that he's played over a thousand times. You can hum the soundtrack after a while. The only game I play on Xbox is Create. I made the amusement park pink-polka-dot!!!! With horsies!!! And ice cream stands every five feet!!! Anyone who has Create on Xbox 360 knows what I'm talking about.

My First Movie Review

Last night my family and I watched the live action Peter Pan that was made in 2003, and it was AWESOME!!!! I loved it!!!! It was really cute and TinkerBell was so funny!!! You NEED to watch it!!! It's necessary for survival!

The Hunger Games

OMG!!! I just found out that they're making a Hunger Games movie!!! EEEEEEEEP!!!! I am stoked!!! I loved the books and i think i'll love the movies!!! There is no conceivable way i can think of that they could butcher them. This Is gonna be great!!
